My Role
As the Design Director for Country Friends, I led the project from its initial concept through to its successful launch and ongoing live operations. My role encompassed the following key responsibilities:
Conceptualization & Vision: I defined the overall creative vision for the game, focusing on creating an inviting, family-friendly atmosphere that blended traditional farming simulation with engaging social features. I worked closely with stakeholders to ensure that the game's core mechanics and aesthetic aligned with both the target audience and the business goals.UI/UX
Design: I led the design of the user interface and user experience, ensuring the game was intuitive and accessible for players of all ages. This included designing an easily navigable menu system, clear visual cues for in-game tasks, and a smooth onboarding process for new players.
Art Direction: I oversaw the art team to develop the game's vibrant visual style, from character design to environment creation. I ensured that every visual element contributed to a cohesive and charming rural world, supporting the game’s immersive experience.
Collaboration & Leadership: I managed cross-functional teams, including artists, developers, and product managers, to ensure that the game was built to the highest standards. I facilitated regular design reviews, iterated on feedback, and maintained a clear line of communication throughout the production cycle.
My leadership on Country Friends resulted in a polished product that not only met the players' expectations but also sustained long-term engagement through thoughtful updates and community-driven features.
